The internet’s in love with this new animal whisperer. Shared by Redditor bluecollarclassicist, the story of this ten-year-old guiding a blind deer to her morning meals is melting hearts across the globe.

The Reddit user wrote: “There is a blind deer in our neighborhood and this boy (10 yrs old) walks her from one grass patch to another every day before school to make sure she finds food.” He then shared this epic photo:

The Dodo wrote that after bluecollarclassicist put up his post, people encouraged him to reach out to a wildlife rescue group to keep it safe from Animal Control. He did just that and then shared an update:

“The deer is getting picked up today by a local animal rescue group (NOT animal control) and taken to a vet for assessment. It will likely be tagged and taken to a controlled forest preserve but they did say that since she seemed so docile that she might end up in an approved farm or petting zoo.”

He added that the boy was sad to see his animal friend go but was “relieved to know she’d be safe.” Bluecollarclassicist plans to take the young hero to see his deer pal whenever he wants.
